The Trust will hold information about you in the strictest confidence and any information exchanged in the course of your care will be respected in line with the law. All our staff have a legal and professional duty to keep information about you confidential and secure.
Occasionally, we may need to share your information with other agencies involved in your treatment; for example when you are discharged, a letter will be sent to your own GP with details of your treatment and advising him/her of further treatment required.
In some cases data may be used for research in the interests of the population in general, however in this case we will always ask for your consent or use anonymised information.
