We at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) pride ourselves on the delivery of high quality care to patients. We’re in the top 120 employers in the NHS and our staff have rated us in the top 20% of Trusts as a place to work and receive treatment. The Trust is performing in the top 10% of Acute Trusts after being rated as ‘Good’ by the CQC, and is delighted to see year on year improvements in our patient surveys.

Although viewed as efficient, productive and financially well managed, the Trust, like many others, faces significant financial challenges. The health economy, including MCHFT, is required to undergo radical change to ensure it provides high quality, affordable healthcare to the population that we serve.

Key to this transformation is our workforce, ensuring that our patients see the right person at the right time and in the right place. We need to be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to workforce challenges and in delivering new models of care.

The Role - Director of Workforce and Organisation Development

The Director of Workforce and Organisational Development will be key in shaping and supporting the delivery of the Local Health and Care Strategy, leading the design, development and delivery of employment and training that builds on the new care delivery models.

We’re looking for someone with the experience, skill and personal style to join our progressive Foundation Trust and support us in taking this agenda forward. You must be able to challenge the status quo, bring innovative solutions and manage the complexities of working and thinking strategically across organisational boundaries. Additionally, you will need the vision and political acumen that will enable you to work with Director colleagues and health economy partners to ensure the successful blend of Workforce, OD and Transformation agendas crucial to delivering the health economy changes required.
