What do Members do?

Being a Member is more about what you can or want to do rather than what you have to do.  How much you become involved is your choice.

Members can become involved in any of the following activities, should they so wish:

  • meeting Governors and sharing your views and concerns
  • attending events hosted by Medical Staff in respect on topics such as long term conditions, A&E, etc.
  • voting in Governor elections
  • standing for election as a Governor
  • receiving newsletters, annual reports and accounts and business plans
  • acting as ‘ambassadors’ for the Trust
  • participating in surveys, questionnaires, consultations and discussions about services
  • participating in focus groups on service plans and investments
  • collecting and channelling the views of fellow members on a variety of issues such as service quality and service provision
  • acting as a barometer of public opinion on the Trust’s reputation and services
  • lobbying on the Trust’s behalf
  • recruiting new Members
  • fundraising or volunteering

The Membership Form contains a section ‘Your Involvement’.  In this section you can indicate how you wish to become involved.
