The Crewe Town Mayor has recently unveiled a commemorative plaque at Leighton Hospital to acknowledge the dedicated effort made by Trust staff during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The plaque, situated at the main entrance of Leighton Hospital, was donated by Crewe Town Council and officially unveiled by the Crewe Town Mayor, Cllr Tom Dunlop, who was also joined by Mid Cheshire Chairman, Dennis Dunn MBE JP DL.
The Mayor delivered a short speech in which he recognised the fantastic work of staff at Mid Cheshire Hospitals and said: “On behalf ofthe people of Crewe, I would like to say a
big thank you for all the hard work you have done, and still do for us.
“Here in our town, like all over the country, we came together as one to protect our local hospital. Let’s stay together and help our NHS staff by getting vaccinated.”
Dennis Dunn, Chairman of Mid Cheshire Hospitals, added: “On behalf of the Trust, thank you to the town council for the generous recognition and thank you to the people of Crewe who have given us tremendous support over the past two years throughout the pandemic.”
