The Endoscopy team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is proud to receive a national accreditation following a Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (JAG) review. This recognition highlights the team's commitment to delivering high-quality endoscopy services.
The JAG review is conducted by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and uses the JAG Global Rating Scale (GRS). This quality improvement tool is the standard for endoscopy services, both nationally and internationally, ensuring best practice and excellence in patient care.
By securing JAG accreditation, Mid Cheshire Hospitals' Endoscopy department has demonstrated that it continues to meet the rigorous standards set by national and international bodies. This accreditation affirms the department’s ability to provide safe, effective and patient-centred care.
Receiving JAG accreditation brings several benefits to the Trust. It helps attract new trainees, retain highly skilled nursing staff and enhances the department’s reputation for providing high-quality training and services. Additionally, the accreditation allows the department to host nationally and internationally recognised courses, further promoting best practices in endoscopy.
Carole Lyth, Clinical Service Manager Endoscopy, said: "The endoscopy team are extremely proud to receive JAG accreditation, this accreditation process demonstrates the quality and high standards the patients receive at Leighton Hospital Endoscopy and that the team are highly trained and skilled in Endoscopy procedures, the whole team have worked hard and continue to work hard to maintain these quality standards.
"It is a wonderful achievement and a true testament to the passion of the Endoscopy team to achieve the very best for Mid Cheshire patients and staff."
