A temporary toilet block installed at the front entrance to Leighton Hospital has now opened.

This is because the toilets in the hospital, located near to the main entrance, require the installation of steel supports in the roof.

This work is being undertaken due to the presence of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) planks.

RAAC is a lightweight form of precast concrete, frequently used in public sector buildings in the UK from the mid-1950s to the mid-1990s.
