Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been shortlisted for a national award at the prestigious NHS Communicate Awards 2022.
The awards, which are organised by the NHS Confederation and NHS Providers, recognise the achievements of communicators across the NHS and celebrate innovation.
The Trust has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Digital Communications and Engagement Award’ for its redevelopment of the Trust website. The award focuses on teams that have successfully utilised digital communications and social media in its communications and engagement.
Earlier this year, Mid Cheshire embarked on an exciting project to develop a brand new website for patients, visitors and staff which is more accessible, easier to use and in line with national and the Trust's branding. The site would also provide a platform for the Trust to promote its extensive range of services and showcase the work of its amazing staff.
Following months of hard work, the website successfully launched in early April to tremendous feedback from colleagues, patients and visitors. Within the first week, the Trust saw an 26.8% increase in users. The Trust is also now listed in the top 30 most accessible Trust websites across the UK for the first time.
Katy Brownbill, Associate Director of Communications and Engagement, said: “The new website now demonstrates the high-quality service people expect when using our hospitals and is something the Communications team is very proud.
"Patients and their families are now able to get important information much easier and much quicker whilst the Trust are able to use the platform to properly showcase its services and most importantly, its brilliant staff.”
The awards will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday 11th October.
