CURE is a tobacco addiction treatment service available to inpatients at Leighton Hospital.
When a patient who smokes is admitted to the hospital, they will have a discussion with a member of staff about their level of addiction and be prescribed appropriate treatment (pharmacotherapy) to help prevent withdrawal.
This is followed up by the CURE Project team, specialists who will see and support patients during and after their time in hospital.
