To begin your Student Nursing Associate Apprenticeship, the entry requirements are:

GCSEs Grade C and above or Grade 4-9 above in Maths and English Language OR Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English or Equivalent (not entry level 2), If you have an overseas qualification, you MUST have the NARIC Statement of Comparability to demonstrate the qualifications are equivalent to the UK requirement, (IELTS cannot be considered due to the apprenticeship funding rules). Educational certificates will need to be provided and verified by the university apprenticeship team, please note results slips, emails or pending results will not be accepted.

Be employed in the Trust in a health care support worker role for at least 12 months.

Demonstrated competence in the delivery of fundamental nursing care at band 2 or 3 and has completed the Care Certificate.

Commitment to complete the 2-year programme and be able to work full time (37.5 hours per week) and undertake shift patterns that may include nights, evenings, weekend, and bank holidays when on clinical placements.

Please note the following:

If you are currently on an Apprenticeship Programme that will not be fully completed by September 2024, you will not be eligible to apply for this role.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK with eligible residency status, that meets the three-year rule on residence in the UK.

If you have previously started but not finished a Nursing Degree Programme or Student Nursing associate programme, you may not be eligible to undertake a TNA apprenticeship with us. Eligibility will need to be confirmed with the university apprenticeship team.
