Different jobs in the NHS are paid different salaries, depending on their level of responsibility.
Generally, jobs are grouped into “bands” from 2 to 9 (doctors have a separate pay scale).
There are different pay points within a band, depending on your number of years’ experience in that role. You will normally start at the bottom salary of the band that your job falls into, and then progress through the salary levels in that banding.
Currently, band 2 roles do not meet the government requirement for minimum salary for sponsorship for a Health and Care Worker Visa.
Currently, band 2, band 3 and band 4 do not meet the salary requirements for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker visa.
